UAEU Science and Innovation Park & the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation for Education are calling on all young change-makers to sign up for the Youth Unemployment Challenge.
The Arab world is expected to have 100 million unemployed youth in the next 10 years unless it is addressed. Do you think you have a solution? If so, sign up to the MIT Bootcamp, The 100 Million Stars.
The Bootcamp will be the most exciting and rewarding education experience of your life. Throughout the program, participants learn and practice a variety of new skills related to entrepreneurship and innovation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) coaches, and guest speakers as well as through their experiences in project teams. Over a period of 10 weeks, the Bootcamp provides participants many experiences most entrepreneurs and innovators face in the first 2-3 years of a new venture. It will be a transformative and life-changing experience. All students who complete in this Bootcamp will be awarded a certificate of completion from MIT.
The Bootcamp is open to all university students and will run from February 15, 2021 to April 11, 2021.
It will follow a blended model involving a combination of online and face-to-face activities.
Note: face-to-face activities (1-2 hours per week) will take place in three different hubs located in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai/Sharjah to accommodate participants residing in different Emirates. The activities will be conducted in the evenings outside of normal working hours and university schedules.
Any Emirati student or Emirati graduate from a university in the UAE is eligible to apply to the MIT Bootcamp through the form in the link below. There will be two stages. The first stage requires applicants to complete the form and upload a two minute video or essay as follows: Introduce yourself professionally, tell us who you are, what you do and why you want to attend the MIT Bootcamp.
Shortlisted applicants from stage one will then be required to attend an online interview for stage two. During the interview, the applicant will be asked questions related to their background and interest in the MIT Bootcamp. From this, a number of applicants will then be selected to participate in the Bootcamp.
